Actually I had tried baking @my mum’s a month ago, using her recipe that she got from a book, she so cute, supplied all stuff & helped me out, as if I’m the master chef, haha. I did asked her ” Mummy, shouldn’t you the one doing the mixing & baking & I only help u?” She replied ” Your mama old liao, cannot read properly but I want to eat” … 我心软…Hehehe…Love my mummy…

Ended up both me, MrJ & mum trying to roll out the dough, make pineapple balls & cut out the tarts shape. LOL. I followed the baking timing & heat degree that the book provided, my tarts (as pic showed ) got quite burnt. But still thanks to my whole family, they finished all of it within days!! Hahaha…

This is my 3rd trial, this time I followed another recipe from a website, http://www.thelittleteochew.com/2010/01/pineapple-tarts-buttery-melt-in-your.html , It’s more tedious & more steps, but I want a more butter taste..so I tried. ,  I got quite confident from step one until before cutting up the shapes.

Not easy when scraping butter with a fork into the flour mixed, plus have to do it fast before the butter melts.

Managed to make the crumbs into a dough ball.

 Here comes the complicated part, cutting of the dough into tarts shape, I cut to a 8mm thickness but I realised the tarts will raise upwards after baking, thus will become super thick for me. I can only make about 75 tarts using 8mm thickness. So next time round, I’ll try a cut a 5mm thickness and by the time it might raise to a thickness, should be just nice … I guess…haha..(have to try, try & try)

Baking part, I didn’t quite understand my new oven well, 1st tray of tarts, the bottom part got burned. So I switch to 150 degree & 25mins baking time for my other trays & changed the heating element knot to both top & bottom, *trying to avoid making burnt tarts* LOL

Tarts bottom got burnt (160 degree + 20mins + bottom heating element)

My Final Pineapple Tarts!! I’m not a fussy eater but MrJ is, I find it okie, more room for improvement. At least the it’s not so burnt as my 1st trial @My Mum’s..hahahahaha

 p/s : I still have one month plus to improve before 2012 CNY. Haha

Anyway a very good friend of ours, came to know our wedding anniversary in Oct, so excitedly planning to bake a cake for us. She’s into baking recently & she has done many good & tasty cakes. LOL.. Haven got chance to taste her cheesecakes yet…haha..

MrJ didn’t know that she has baked us cakes, he still looked at them when we reached our friend’s home. Earlier on, I told him haven visit her & ger ger for so long liao. haha…actually just want to surprise him lah. Very very tasty mud chocolate cupcakes, rich chocolate taste..hehe..Yummy…

I really amazed how a 2 yr old , so onz playing ipad & know how to choose her fave videos in YouTube lor, etc..waaaaa…kids really pick up learing skills fast!

Supposed to book group tickets to watch this movie but didn’t know the tickets sold out way too fast. No more group seating left, managed to book 2 seats 12days ago just for today timing, end up have to disappoint MrJ’s friends.

Not middle, not front, not too side but the effects are too powerful! The 3D effects, sound etc…SHIOK!!! Thu a bit motion sickness during certain parts. If there’s another action packed movie, going for Imax again, haha..have to be on wkday thu, wkend cost kinda ex. And choose seats behind, not middle or side or front. LOL

I still prefer the Imax cinema in Bangkok, thu the last time, there’s no 3D effect for the movie ’I am No. Four’ but the screen is tall & a bit round, similar like our Omi Max. Also super shiok w/o the 3D.

All the while, mention of buying a dslr is only a verbal thing & then forget abt it. Cos I don’t know where to start looking for info or who to ask. MrJ didn’t help much as he knows it’s an expensive xtra thing to buy, keep telling me don’t waste $.

Until @ a colleague’s wedding…

One of my colleagues brought her Nikon D7000 dslr, my eyes got so bright that I asked her can I play your dslr? The moment I held the dslr, I can’t stop taking photos around me, haha..the feeling just over whelmed. I got so 舍不得 when she wants it back. LOL

Finally…

So happened that there’s a PC show @Suntec, I checked out the pricing, asked one of my little cousin who is very into photography, which model to buy. She explained the basic knowledge her comparison of Canon & Nikon, & which shop to visit @Funan & which forum to seek for more details. (Thanks to YL)

So I settled with Nikon D5100 Kit as an Entry Level, whole package cost me $1199 + PWP of another lens @$199. Extra goodies when the lady recommended the dslr, pity I got so excited that forgot to fight for extra battery. HAHA..well..

I hate ironing for sure, luckily MrJ does not have such hatred for ironing. Just that he has problems to cease the lines on his stubborn clothes.

He tried it out & has good comments & told me “Now I like to iron clothes once again!!” I just keep laughing…*well done MrJ*

Actually supposed to be just wandering around after a good lunch with colleagues on friday, then on the way back to office, one of them said that she want to go to coach boutique to see latest collection. Ok, thus we all went, seriously the bags did not attract me cos I know they cost a bomb. The most expensive bag I had was a Guess Bag which cost me $49, but with flaws.

Just browsing around, until one of my colleague carried a sling bag on her, admiring the bag in the mirror, that’s when my eyes could not leave the sight of it. Oops!! I always wanted a good sling bag with nice pockets, but unable to find the one I want. Until this one…I never had a branded bag which cost so much, my colleagues keep saying it’s really a good deal cos having 30% sales for selected items. Without hestitaion..I told the sales lady in a big broad smile: “Can I have a new piece please?” LOL

I don’t remember when it’s the last time I pampered myself, most of it just $100 to the max like buying clothes, shoes & accessories combined.  This bag cost me almost $400 after discount..Heee..

Anyway my manager also bought one with a different design to pamper herself too..Haha

KKH push me around like ball today, need to see doc urgently cos not feeling well due to the multivitamins that doc recommended, heart beats damn fast, not a good feeling. Called this dept, push me to appt dept, then told me straight over the phone that doc appt is full till jun, well..useless to use the word urgent, Damn it!!  Totally same feeling when trying to get a government doc in NUH in urgent to seek advise, Till now while typing, breathless…like asthma..sigh..suddenly no confident. Arghh…

I need a breather…alot of things happened around me, some good news to congrats, some bad news that need comfort, then politics @work, I can’t take it all…how to handle, almost had a emo breakdown in office, “忍”

Who knows, I saw these @ a petrol kiosk, surprisingly found out that it is now having promotions, any 3 types cost $12.80.

Just microwave for a few mins & TATA…dinner is served…LOL 

There are other favours like beef meatballs etc, couldn’t buy beef home thus left only chicken lasagne & sausage with mashed potato.

They tasted normal lah, not like waaaaa…but it’s taste good enough for an instant microwaved dinner.

Only 4mths & I’ve put on 5 kgs, HAHA, don’t say lost weight lah, maintaining is a tough task oreadi =((

Lots of things happened in these 4mths, one of it was finally went to Bangkok with super shiok shopping, makan & totally enjoyable trip in Feb. Thinking of planning for a short trip to m’sia with my parents, hopefully MrJ can join too. Initially planned a year-end trip end of this year to South Korea but with Japan recent mother nature disaster & nuclear stuff, MrJ say not going. Then wanted to go angmo countries but MrJ say too expensive, that one must plan super long…sighh. Well, I don’t mind go short getaways thou, just want to spend some relax time with him. Nowadays see him so stress up with his new job & all, feel so sad for him =((

From a temp staff from last year to unconfirmed perm staff to a confirmed perm staff recently, and heard going to have a new set of job scopes for me with more committment needed, seriously I don’t mind cos I like challenges in job, I can’t stay with the same job scope for a long period of time, get bored easily, very very luckily I have a very understanding manager who can understand what I’ve been going thru in some personal area & I did told her what is my main priority for now, she’s very supportive & I feel so grateful to her…I too promised her, I do my every best with my 8hrs in office & help her with the team. But of cos, office politics are everywhere, just that I can’t stand childish actions as in working attitude, what to do…ignored it, as long as don’t step into my protected area & you will be fine.

Had a horrible experience with starhub on billing issues, my tv cable always paid using cash each mth while my mobile being paid by giro. One day out of the blue, received a bill combining both bills together & deducted thru my giro without my permission lor!! I’m soo damn pissed!! How can like that?! I never sign or verbally say anything on that! 1st I call thru, asking for renewal discount if any before I complained on the billing part, they told me to request it just few days before the 21st mth, ok fine! then I start to complain abt the billing, scolded them & they say the bills can be spilt back, ok I say & I told them please get it done & revert back to the original billing, to my disappointment, next billing came horrible wrong, tv cable become giro paid while my mobile suddenly got pro-rate & anyhow charged!! When I called thru the 2nd time near the 21st mth date to request for renewal discount, another person told me to call back AFTER the renewal date, cannot before, I almost got a heart attack of anger, I just slam down the phone after scolding them. Without hesitation, I cancelled my giro thru bank, went to sign up singtel with a new # & iphone4, sooo damn pissed with starhub, that’s what I get being 14yrs with them. Idiot! – Finally get it off my chest!!

Signed up for a korean language course in c.c with little sis, I like my korean teacher Mdm Jang, her lessons are slowly & well explained, just that I don’t have the time to revise cos have to work & sometime have to OT then missed a couple of lessons, I really wondered how can those people able to jarga part-time studies with a full-time job, it’s so tiring lor. So didn’t sign up for the next course..well..until I’m well prepared for my basic. Hee

Me & MrJ just made a huge decision, not easy for both of us, emotionally & financially, I had mix feelings about it, getting married to MrJ was my 1st huge decision in life, now this will considered my 2nd huge decision,  hope things will go well for us  =)
